Basic Course Information

Courses

We offer Japanese language courses for all levels - Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. We have 10 different levels, so you're always studying at the best level for you. There's also a conversation class that can be adapted to meet your language goals.

You can either choose to learn over a 10-week "Regular Term" (normally two x 90-minute lessons per week), or for those in a hurry we also have a 5-week "Intensive Course" (normally 4 x 90-minute lessons per week). To find out when the next courses are starting, please contact us.

Private classes

Private lessons are available for students wishing to study a particular topic or linguistic element. (Eg. Job Interview preparation; Business Japanese etc).

Extras classes

We also hold extra classes that include conversation, culture clases and games.
The cost is $5 per class. Please let us know by 5pm the day before if you would like to attend.

Average Class Size: From 3 to 8 students
A small class size equals more time for you and your needs. Our average class size is between 3 and 8 students, so you get plenty of individual attention.

Timetable
Our school is open Monday - Thursday 1pm - 9pm and Fridays and Saturdays 10am - 5:15pm. Within those times you can choose timeslots that are convenient to you. Although not every timeslot will be available, we try to be as flexible as possible.

Prices
We offer top-quality instruction at a very reasonable per-hour cost:

For the instalment option, the first payment must be received prior to the beginning of the term, and second payment must be received by the end of week 10.

How to learn Japanese quickly and easily (the "Image Lesson Method")

All our teachers are native speakers of Japanese, and are fully trained in the "Image Lesson Method" of Japanese instruction.

This method uses pictures, gestures and examples to indicate the meaning of new words so that no English is used in the classroom. Some students who are new to Japanese may be apprehensive about taking lessons entirely in Japanese. If you feel this way, please talk to our staff. They will be happy to explain the process in more detail and answer any questions you may have.

We've found that students enjoy learning via this "immersion" experience, and results prove the effectiveness of the method.
